“WTF! Wear The Fungi" with Bunka Fashion College Collaborative Exhibition
MYCL™️ was held an event yesterday the "WTF! Wear The Fungi" A collaborative exhibition with Bunka Fashion College from 27 May to 6 June 2023, at Bunka Fashion College.
Bunka Fashion College was founded as a small dressmaking school in 1919. Most Japanese wore a kimono at that time. Approved as the first dressmaking school in Japan in 1923, the College has produced about 300,000 alumni and has played a significant role in fashion education in Japan for about 100 years.
Through this exhibition, MYCL™️ wants to raise awareness among young designers of the urgency of choosing sustainable materials to create more responsible products. MYCL™️‘s collaborator from APAKABAR Atelier also participated in knowledge sharing and showcasing their products utilizing Mylea™️ in this event
"In this project with MYCL™️, we were provided with mushroom leather, which is very interesting from a sustainability point of view. The students were able to express their own designs through trial and error, while having fun at the same time." said Prof. Kikuchi, Head of the Fashion Accessories Advanced Course at Bunka Fashion College.
